Here are some photographic galleries taken during my travels throughout the western US and Europe.

  • Belua Mirabilis Collection

    Belua Mirabilis is a collection of microscopic scenes from the series Landscapes Unseen that conjures images of fantastical aquatic life flourishing in a primordial water world. These scenes are the result of various combinations of salicylic acid, Epson salt, alcohol, caffeine, borax, urea, and oxalic acid.

    You may purchase these photographs as greeting cards,  in a chapbook, as a folio, and as fine art prints.

  • Landscapes Unseen

    Alum normal.The series of photomicrographs, called Landscapes Unseen,  presents images too small to see with the unaided eye. To produce these images, ordinary household substances that you might find in your medicine cabinet, kitchen, or garden shed are dissolved in water and smeared on a microscope slide. (more…)

    February along the Pacific coast of California can be windy, rainy, and foggy – all the elements you need for atmospheric photos.     North-central Oregon is home to a geologic gem called John Day Fossil Beds National Monument. It is made up of three units: the Painted Hills, Clarno, and Sheep Rock.
