The Painted Hills Unit of the John Day Fossil Beds

North-central Oregon is home to a geologic gem called John Day Fossil Beds National Monument. It is made up of three units: the Painted Hills, Clarno, and Sheep Rock.

Bill Wins Several Awards at the 2017 RMOWP Conference

We are so pleased to announce that Bill won three Firsts, two Seconds, and three Thirds in the annual photography contest at the 2017 Rocky Mountain Outdoor Writers and Photographers conference in Sierra Vista, Arizona. In addition, he also got seven honorable mentions. Yay!

Serenity Wins Best of Show

Yellow fall leaves reflect in the fish-filled emerald green water of Plitvice Lakes National Park in Croatia. We are so pleased to announce that one of Bill’s photos was awarded Best of Show at the 2016 Rocky Mountain Outdoor Writers and Photographers conference in Bryce National Park on June 5, 2016.

The competition was fierce and we are honored and proud that Serenity was chosen for the top honor.
