Dinosaur National Monument Landscapes

The dark rain clouds and virga serve as a backdrop to the magnificent Split Mountain and the ranch land in the foreground. This was taken along the entrance road to Dinosaur National Monument in Utah.

Dinosaur National Monument straddles the border between Utah and Colorado, near the confluence of the Green and Yampa Rivers. Mostly in Colorado, there are so many wonders packed into an area of roughly 330 square miles. Consequently, it is a premiere destination for photographers.

New Dinosaur National Monument Photos

The placid Green River enters the imposing canyon, known as the Gates of Lodore, beginning its tumultuous journey through the canyon where it will join the Yampa River in Dinosaur National Monument, Colorado.

We have new Dinosaur National Monument photos. These photos have been added to our post about the National Monument. While updating the post, we reorganized all the photos around specific areas in the monument. Dinosaur is full of geologic and scenic wonders. Be sure to put it on your bucket list of places to go before you are too feeble to make the trip.
