Vermillion Cliffs National Monument
Just south of Utah, the Arizona Strip is home to The Vermillion Cliffs National Monument. The Grand Canyon isolates the Arizona Strip from the rest of Arizona, making it among the most remote and rugged public land in the lower 48 states.

Goblin Valley State Park
Goblin Valley State Park, located in the San Rafael Desert, is special because of its unusual geologic feature: hundreds of eroded hoodoos formed from Entrada Sandstone. These sandstone hoodoos look alot like Halloween goblins; hence, the park’s name. Continue reading “Goblin Valley State Park”
