We are so pleased to announce that William Horton has won the 2016 RMOWP Best of Show award at the annual Rocky Mountain Outdoor Writers and Photographers conference in Bryce National Park on June 5, 2016.

The photo was taken at Plitvice Lakes National Park in Croatia on a very soggy fall day. The soft light (what there was of it) enhanced the colors of the golden leaves and the reflections in the lake. And the brown trout were nicely spotlighted by a little bit of sun peeking through the clouds at just the right moment.
Plitvice Lakes National Park is in the mountainous area near the Bosnia and Herzegovina border.
