2018 RMOWP Photography Awards

The 2018 RMOWP Photography Awards banquet was held in Alamosa, Colorado, on September 26th. We are so pleased to announce that Bill was awarded five Firsts, two Seconds, and three Thirds in this annual photography contest. In addition, he also received four honorable mentions. Yay!

Here are the First Place winners:

Two bicyclists enjoy the bike trails in Scotts Bluff National Monument in Nebraska.

Wildcat Creek Covered Bridge was built in 1925 near the confluence of Wildcat Creek and the Suislaw River, 27 miles east of Florence, Oregon.

Shoshone Falls is sometimes called the "Niagara of the West." On sunny days in the late spring, you will often see a single and sometimes double rainbow. It is located in the Snake River Canyon about 3 miles north of downtown Twin Falls, Idaho.

Elk Mountain is in the sun while we are in the midst of a raging thunderstorm. Virgo acts like a sheer curtain revealing the mountain in the far distance. Along I-80.

Here are the Third Place winners:

The clouds have just cleared the Great Sand Dunes, allowing the morning light to enhance their texture.

This re-creation of a Conestoga wagon with a team of oxen is prominantly displayed along the entrance road to Scotts Bluff National Monument.

And, finally, here are the Honorable Mentions:

A group of Greater Sandhill Cranes have just taken off from the over-night pon to begin a long day of feeding in nearby corn fields in Bosque del Apache National Wildlife Refuge in New Mexico. One of several new Bosque del Apache photographs.
